Back in the 90’s, I actually used to read guitar magazines. I know what you’re thinking: “Read? A magazine??” Yes – now get off my lawn, you danged kids! At the time, I loved White Zombie, and caught a column in one of the guitar mags by J Yuenger that I liked a lot. Even though this was a guitar based magazine, the information was a lot more than just practicing scales and was really a kind of primer as to what it’s like being in a band. Some of the info is a little dated, most of it still applies – some cool reading for sure.
