Netflix – I thank you for letting me revisit my extremely strange childhood.

Today, I watched:

Modern Problems

I saw this movie originally when it came out in movie theaters.  After watching this today, I truly, TRULY wonder how/why my father took me to see it.  I was nine at the time.  I suspect that my father just wanted to get out of the house. I can’t imagine that he enjoyed it, because the movie is truly, TRULY bad. Today, I kind of enjoyed Chevy Chase’s performance though – he hadn’t hit his cocky 80’s stride yet ala Caddy Shack & Fletch.  All in all, this movie had everything that was bad about a film in 1981. Cheap drug jokes, gay biker bar scenes, cheeseball 70’s organ soundtrack, and slow, slow, slow pacing. I can’t believe I sat through it (again).  I can’t believe I sat through it the FIRST time!
